# How to add a delay between accounts

Posting the same content to multiple places at the same time may trigger [Facebook's spam detectors](https://help.publer.io/en/article/what-are-the-daily-post-limits-nbtnmu/?1587464960288) and might even affect your edge rank. To help prevent this, Publer lets you add a delay between posts when scheduling or publishing to multiple social accounts.

By default, the **Delay** option is turned off. You can enable it and specify how much time you want between each post.

### How does adding a delay work?

Let's say you're scheduling the same **Photo Album** for 5 Facebook Pages. You enable a delay of 10 minutes between posts and schedule the Album for Monday at 5:00 PM.

The Album will be scheduled based on the order in which you selected the Pages:

* The first Page will be scheduled for **5:00 PM**.
* The second Page will be scheduled for **5:10 PM**.
* The third Page will be scheduled for **5:20 PM**.
* The fourth Page will be scheduled for **5:30 PM**, and so on.

### To add a Delay between accounts:

* Go to the **Create** page and select more than one social account.
* Create your post and select **Delay**, represented by the hourglass icon.

* Choose the preferred delay time between posts, then select **Save**.

* Finally, schedule your posts and the delay will be applied automatically.

### Keep in mind:

* The **Delay** option works only with **Scheduled** and **Recurring** posts. It is not available for **AutoSchedule** or **Recycling** posts.
* The **Delay** option is only available when you have selected more than one social account or a [Group of accounts](/en/article/how-to-group-social-accounts-iuod17/).
* When posts are created for multiple social accounts with a delay, they will remain displayed together in the Calendar until they are published.
* If the posts are scheduled for different times on the same day, a time range will be displayed. If they are scheduled on different days, a date range will be displayed.
* Once a post is published to one social account, it will appear separately as an individual published post. The posts for the social accounts that have not been published yet will continue to be displayed together.
* The **Delay** option works with all social accounts currently supported by Publer.

You can also add a delay between posts directly from the Publer mobile app when creating a post for multiple social accounts.

### To add a Delay between accounts:

* Open the Publer app and tap the **+** button at the bottom of the screen.
* Select more than one social account and start creating your post.
* Tap the **+** icon in the bottom left corner to access additional options.

* Select **Delay between accounts**.

* Choose how much time you want between each post and tap **Save**.

* Finally, schedule your posts. The selected delay will be applied automatically based on the order of the social accounts you selected.

|| For example, if you select a 10-minute delay, the first post will be scheduled at the time you choose, while each following post will be scheduled 10 minutes after the previous one.
