# How to choose whether the post modal stays open or closes after creating posts

Control what happens after you create a post in Publer by choosing whether the post modal stays open or closes automatically. This setting helps you streamline your workflow based on your posting habits.

# To choose whether the post modal stays open or closes :

* Click your **profile photo** in the top-right corner of the screen.  
* Select [Settings](https://app.publer.io/#/settings).

* Scroll down to the **Posting** section, and find the option that controls the post modal behavior after creating a post.  
* Toggle the setting based on your preference: **ON** automatically closes the post modal after scheduling a post, while **OFF** keeps the post modal open so you can continue without reopening it.
