# How to connect YouTube channels

||| Due to the API limitations of YouTube, you need to be the OWNER of the YouTube channel in order to connect it with Publer.

### To add your YouTube channel to Publer:

* Go to **Social Accounts**, click on **Connect** for YouTube.

* Select **YouTube**.

* Sign in to the Google account connected to your YouTube account.
* Make sure to  **Allow** all the required permissions.

* Finally, select the account(s) you want to add.

* Your account is now successfully added and you can start [scheduling videos](https://help.publer.io/en/article/how-to-create-public-private-or-unlisted-youtube-videosshorts-18wm3ms/) to your YouTube channel.

### Keep in mind:

* Only the OWNER of the YouTube channel can add it to Publer. Learn more about that [here](https://help.publer.io/en/article/why-cant-i-add-the-youtube-channel-that-i-manage-1ab5v47/).

* Go to **Accounts **and click on ** + Add new social accounts**

* Click on the **YouTube** logo.

* Sign in to the Google account connected to your YouTube account and click on **Continue**.

* Make sure to  **Allow** all the required permissions.
* Finally, select the account(s) you want to add.
