# How to delete published posts through Publer

# Managing published posts

You can delete your **already published** social media posts through Publer in only a few steps. This is currently possible for Facebook Pages, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Business Profiles, Threads and YouTube. The other social networks don't support this action due to API limitations.

When you choose **Delete now**, the post will be permanently deleted from the social network. It will remain in Publer unless you also choose to remove it from your Publer workspace.

|| Note: You can also choose to delete/remove the posts from your Publer workspace, without deleting them from the social networks, by choosing **Delete from Publer**. # Deleting published social media posts

|| Note: At the moment, it's not possible to delete all published posts at once due to technical limitations.

To **permanently** delete your published posts directly through Publer:

* Go to the **Calendar** tab and choose the **Feed View**.

* Filter by **Published**.

* Filter by the social account to find the post you want to delete.
* Then, click on the **bin icon** at the bottom of the post.

|| The bin icon will usually be visible for posts. However, some options may be disabled depending on the post status, your permissions, your plan, or social network API limitations.

* You will get 2 main options:
* **Delete from Publer**: removes the post only from your Publer workspace.
* **Delete from LinkedIn/social account**: lets you manage deletion from the social account.

* If you choose **Delete from LinkedIn/social account**, you can then choose:

* **Delete now** to permanently delete the published post from the social account.
* **Auto-Delete** to automatically delete the post later, after a set time or based on conditions like reach or engagement.

* Click on **Confirm** to permanently delete the post from the social account.

### Deleting grouped published posts

For grouped posts, you can manage all posts in the group together or click **Show each post** to manage a specific post individually.

* Open the grouped post and click on the **bin icon**.
* You can choose **Delete from Publer** to remove the grouped post only from your Publer workspace, or **Delete from social networks** to manage deletion from the social accounts.

* Click **Delete from social networks** to see the available options.
* Choose **Delete now** to permanently delete the published posts from the social networks, or **Auto-delete** to automatically delete them later.

* If you choose **Delete now**, Publer will show which social networks the posts will be deleted from.
* Click **Confirm** to permanently delete the posts from the listed social networks.

|| Keep in mind that deleting the posts from the social networks cannot be undone.

* Alternatively, choose **Auto-delete** if you want the posts to be automatically deleted from the social networks once the specified conditions are met.
* Enable **Auto-delete**, configure the conditions if needed, and click **Save**.

* If you choose **Delete from Publer** instead, read the notice carefully, check the confirmation box, and click **Delete**.

|| Choosing **Delete from Publer** only removes the published posts from your Publer workspace and not from the social networks. If the posts still exist on the social networks, they may get synced back into Publer.

|| As soon as a post is **deleted** from the social account, you won't be able to perform any other actions on it from Publer. However, it will remain in Publer for as long as you decide to keep it, in case you want to reuse it again in the future. ### Keep in mind:

* You need to reauthorize your Threads connection to delete your Threads posts within Publer. Make sure to follow the steps [here](https://publer.com/help/en/article/how-to-reauthenticatereauthorize-social-accounts-on-publer-1hzx0kx/).
* **Delete from Publer** may be disabled if you don't have permission to edit the post, for example if you're a client with read-only access or an editor without the required permissions.
* **Delete from social account** may be disabled when deletion is not supported by the social network, due to API limitations, or when the post was already deleted from the social network.
* Posts with reminders or Stories may have limited delete options, depending on the social network.
* **Auto-Delete** is available for paid plans. If you're not on a paid plan, clicking it may open the upgrade modal.
* If a post is already published, you can use **Delete now** or **Auto-Delete**.
* If a post is scheduled, you can only use **Auto-Delete**.
* For grouped posts, you can manage deletion for the group together or click **Show each post** to manage a specific post individually.
* When deleting a grouped post from the social networks, Publer will show which social accounts the posts will be permanently deleted from before you confirm the action.
* You can also choose to delete/remove posts from your Publer workspace without deleting them from the social networks by choosing **Delete from Publer**. # Managing published posts

* If you choose **Delete from Mastodon/social account**, you can then choose:
* **Delete now** to permanently delete the published post from the social account.
* **Auto-Delete** to automatically delete the post later, after a set time or based on conditions like reach or engagement.
* Finally, tap on **Delete** to confirm.

|| For grouped posts, you can follow the same steps above to delete the posts from the social networks. You can manage all posts in the group together or manage a specific post individually.
