# How to insert Alt text for images

Inserting Alt text for images is important as it provides context of what the image shows, specifically when it cannot be viewed for any reason. When used properly, it can also help with the SEO score. 

|| Note: Inserting Alt text is supported on Publer for all social networks. However, when creating multi-photo posts on Facebook, adding Alt text will also count as the photo caption.

||| Note: You cannot add Alt text to Facebook Personal Profiles/Groups posts, due to API limitations from the networks.

### To add Alt text:

* Go to **Create** page.

* Create your photo post.
* Hover over the photo and click on the bottom right corner icon.

* Clicking on the Alt text icon will display a screen where you can enter the desired text.

* Finally, click on **Save** and proceed with scheduling the post.
