# How to schedule X/Twitter threads

# To create and [schedule X/Twitter Threads](https://blog.publer.io/schedule-twitter-threads-with-publer/) with Publer:

* Go to the **Create** page.
* Select an **X/Twitter** account and start composing a new tweet.

| You can add up to 4 photos, [format the text](https://blog.publer.io/new-visual-composer-improvements/) as bold or italic, generate [hashtag suggestions](https://blog.publer.io/new-hashtag-suggestion-generator/), or [add media files.](/en/article/how-to-add-media-to-follow-up-comments-1wzgee5/) You can also prepare bulk content quickly by using the [built in Spintax Generator](https://help.publer.io/en/article/how-to-create-text-variations-using-spintax-within-publer-hf6siq/) which creates new content based on the keywords you provide.

* Click **+Add to thread** to start building your thread.

* You can also click on **Split into a thread** if you already have a long piece of text. Publer can divide it automatically into multiple tweets using **Natural split** or **Split with AI**, making it easier to repurpose long content into a thread. ### Wrapping a Thread

* You can **Copy, Wrap, or Delete** a thread by clicking the **three dots** next to it.

* To copy text, conditions, media or the entire post click on **Copy** and choose one of the options that show up.

* Choose **Wrap the thread** to preview how the entire thread will appear. Wrapping lets you add a final post that highlights the full thread.

* The last post becomes your wrap up message, bringing the full thread back to the top with a final note, key takeaway, or link.

* If you don’t like the wrapped view, you can **unwrap** it anytime.

### Delays and Conditions

* To keep adding tweets, click **+Add thread** under the previous tweet.

* You can also **reorder the posts** in your thread by clicking on the **Move down** or **Move up** options before publishing. You need to have at least **2 follow-up comments** for this option to work.

* To add media, click **Click to upload media** and choose the files you want to attach.

* If you want to add a **delay** for the first follow up tweet, click the three dots on the left and select **Add Conditions**.
* You can add conditions to each thread the same way.

* In the pop up, use the **Is older than** condition to set the delay for the next tweet.

* **(OPTIONAL)** You can also trigger follow up tweets **based on the performance** of the previous tweet.

* Once your thread is ready, proceed with **scheduling** the post.

|| NOTE: Threads and follow up tweets do not carry over automatically when [reusing posts](https://help.publer.io/en/article/how-to-reuse-posts-1we8gjl/) from drafts, scheduled content, or previously published posts.

| TIP: You can set default follow up comments or threads for all your posts by following [this guide](https://publer.com/help/en/article/how-to-add-follow-up-comments-to-my-posts-qym287/#1-to-set-a-default-follow-up-comment-for-your-posts).

### Keep in mind:

* You can create up to **25 tweets** per thread.
* Each follow up tweet supports text formatting tools, emojis, [hashtag suggestions](https://blog.publer.io/new-hashtag-suggestion-generator/), and [media files.](/en/article/how-to-add-media-to-follow-up-comments-1wzgee5/)
* Each follow up tweet has a **280 character limit**. Publer will highlight any text that exceeds this limit.
* Each follow up tweet will always post after the previous one. For example, you cannot schedule the third tweet of a thread before the second one.

### Wrapping a Thread

* You can enable **Wrap the thread** by clicking on the wrap icon.

* Wrapping adds a final post that highlights the full thread. The last post becomes your wrap up message, bringing the full thread back to the top with a final takeaway, note, or link.
* You can always **unwrap** a thread if you need to, by clicking on the highlighted icon again.

* If you want to add a **delay** for the first follow up tweet, tap the **Conditions** icon.

* You can add conditions to each thread the same way.
* You can also choose to **Add media/hashtags** or **Delete** a thread.

* In the pop up, use the **Is older than** condition to set the delay for the next tweet. This is the former delay option.
* **(OPTIONAL)** You can trigger follow up tweets **based on the performance** of the previous tweet.

* You can also choose to **Copy** or **Delete** a thread.
* You can also reorder tweets in the thread by clicking the arrow icons (up or down) next to each tweet.

* To keep adding tweets, tap **+Add thread** under the previous tweet.
* The second follow up tweet can be scheduled based on the previous tweet if the chosen condition is enabled.
* To add media, tap the **plus icon** and choose the files you want to attach.

|| NOTE: You can set conditions for additional follow up tweets. Performance based conditions apply only to the first follow up tweet.

* Once your thread is ready, preview it on the **eye** icon.

* Tap **Save** and proceed with scheduling the post.
