Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring two different methods of authentication to verify your identity. This prevents unauthorized access to your account, even if someone knows your password. Learn more about 2FA and how it works in Publer [here](https://help.publer.io/en/article/what-is-two-factor-authentication-2fa-and-how-does-it-work-es78a0/#1-what-is-two-factor-authentication). # To set up Two-Factor Authentication on your account: 1. Choose a time-based one-time password (TOTP) authenticator app, such as: * [Google Authenticator](/en/article/how-to-download-and-set-up-the-google-authenticator-on-your-mobile-1mbp4x4/) * Bitwarden * 1Password * LastPass Authenticator * Microsoft Authenticator * Twilio etc. 2. Enable Two-Factor Authentication: * Go to [Settings](https://app.publer.io/#/settings). * Select [Access & Login](https://app.publer.io/#/settings/access). * Press the **Enable Two-Factor Authentication** button. ![Enable Two-Factor Authentication](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/-/e/e/f/b/eefbebed3e091800/untitled-design-1_136txhx.png) * Scan the **QR code** or enter the code manually on your authenticator app. ![Enable Two-Factor Authentication](https://storage.crisp.chat/users/helpdesk/website/-/e/e/f/b/eefbebed3e091800/untitled-design-2_aetw67.png) * Press **I completed this step** and then enter the code given by your authenticator app before it expires. * If you want Publer to remember this device, make sure to check the option **Don't ask again on this device**. || When you don't check this option, you will be asked to enter a new code every time you log in.
