Facebook


Limitations:


  • Text (both description and photo captions): 10,000 characters
  • Title (video or link preview): 100 characters
  • Link preview description: 300 characters


This applies to Facebook Pages, Groups, and Profiles.



Instagram


Limitations:


  • Text: 2,200 characters
  • Alt text: 1,000 characters



Twitter


Limitations:


  • Text (including URLs): 280 characters
  • Long posts: 25,000 characters
  • Alt text: 1,000 characters


Note: Links will always count as 23 characters long, no matter their length.



LinkedIn

The thread can contain 25 posts, and each post can be up to 300 characters long.


Keep in mind:


  • Character limits vary by social network and content type, so make sure your content meets the requirements of the social network you are posting to.
  • When creating a post for multiple social accounts, each post follows the character limitations of its respective social network.
  • If you use the same content for multiple social accounts, the content needs to meet the character limit of each selected social network.
  • If the content exceeds the limit for one of the selected social networks, Publer will indicate which social account needs to be adjusted.
  • You can customize the content for each social account individually to make sure it meets that social network's character limitations.
