# Why is my Instagram account restricted?

There might be multiple reason why **Instagram** is failing with the error "We restrict certain activities to protect our community. Let us know if you think we made a mistake."

### Case 1:

* You have engaged massively with following/unfollowing, posting, liking/commenting, and so on, causing  **Instagram** to flag your account.
* We have noticed that Instagram has restricted accounts if the age or other profile details on Instagram are not verified.

* If that does not work, then we recommend you reach out to their support team to understand why your account is restricted and resolve the issues.

### Case 2:

* The **Facebook Profile/Page** linked to the Instagram account may have been flagged.
* Because we communicate with Instagram through Facebook, it's possible that the issue lies on your **Facebook Profile/Page**
* Unfortunately, this is something that goes beyond the scope of support that we offer -- you would have to resolve the issue with the Facebook support team.
