# Why is my media upload failing?

# Why is my media upload failing?

If you're receiving an error message related to the **TUS protocol**, it indicates that your media upload is being blocked by browser data, such as extensions (especially **ad blockers**) or cache/cookies.


### To fix the issue follow these steps: 

* [Disable your extensions](https://support.google.com/chrome_webstore/answer/2664769?hl=en#zippy=%2Cremove-possible-malware%2Carrange-extensions-on-your-toolbar%2Cfind-an-alternative%2Cremove-the-extension%2Ctemporarily-enable-the-extension) (ad blockers, pop-up blockers).
* Clear your browser’s **cookies and cache**. Learn more about it [here](https://help.publer.io/en/article/how-to-clear-my-cookies-cache-tt3gcp/).
* Restart your browser and try uploading the media again. 
* Alternatively, you can try using an **Incognito window**.
