How to connect Bluesky accounts

Important: At the moment, only Bluesky accounts hosted directly on Bluesky (e.g. username.bsky.social) can be connected to Publer. Accounts hosted on a custom PDS (Personal Data Server) are not supported yet.

To connect your Bluesky account with Publer:

Select the Social Accounts tab on the left of the dashboard and click Connect for Bluesky.

Select Bluesky.

Enter your username (e.g. username.bsky.social) and click on Generate app password in Bluesky.

Do not include the @ when typing the username.

You will be redirected to Bluesky and click on Add App Password.

If you are logged out of your Bluesky account, you will have to log in to the correct account to generate the code.

In the pop-up modal, name the app password or use the suggested one and click Create App Password.

Bluesky will generate a code that you can copy and paste into Publer.

Important: For security reasons, the code is displayed only once. If you miss it, you will need to delete the app password and create a new one.

Finally, after adding the code to Publer, click on Add.

MobileStart

To connect Bluesky in the mobile app:

Log in to the app and navigate to the account menu from the upper left icon.
Tap on Add new social accounts.

Tap on the Bluesky icon.

Enter your username (e.g. username.bsky.social) and click on Generate app password in Bluesky.

You will be redirected to Bluesky and click on Add App Password.

If you are logged out of your Bluesky account, you will need to log in to the correct account to generate the code.

In the pop-up modal, name the app password or use the suggested one and click Create App Password.

Bluesky will generate a code that you can copy and paste into Publer.
