How to connect Claude with Publer’s MCP

You can now connect Claude with Publer's MCP. Once connected, you can use Claude to create drafts, schedule posts, manage your content, and interact with your Publer workspace directly from Claude.

Note: Publer's MCP integration is currently in Beta with Top Ambassadors and Enterprise clients.


To connect Claude with Publer:


  • Go to Settings in Publer.
  • Select AI & Automations.



  • Under AI & MCP, click on Claude.




You can connect Publer with either Claude Web/Desktop or Claude Code.


Claude Web/Desktop



To connect Publer with Claude on the web or desktop app:


  • Select the Claude Web/Desktop tab.



  • Under Get your API key, paste an existing Publer API key or click Create an API key.



  • If you're creating a new API key, give it a name and choose the permissions you want Claude to have.



  • Generate the API key and copy it.



Note: Keep your API key private and do not share it with anyone who should not have access to your Publer account.


  • Return to Settings > AI & Automations > Claude.
  • Paste your API key into the provided field.
  • Continue to the next step.



Publer will provide the details needed to connect Claude with the Publer MCP server.


  • Open Claude Web/Desktop and go to Customize.



  • Select Connectors.



  • Click on Add > Add custom connector.
  • Enter the connector details provided by Publer.



  • Click Add.



  • Once the connector is added click Connect.



  • Approve access to complete the connection.



  • Claude will now be connected to your Publer workspace. Select the workspace you want to use.



  • Once connected, you can start asking Claude to create, manage, or schedule content in Publer.



Claude Code


You can also connect Publer with Claude Code.


To do so:


  • Go to Settings > AI & Automations > Claude in Publer.
  • Select the Claude Code tab.



  • Paste an existing Publer API key or click Create an API key.
  • If you haven't already, install Claude Code.



  • After adding your API key, Publer will provide the command needed to add the Publer MCP server to Claude Code.



  • Copy the command and run it in your terminal.



Then:


  • Start a Claude Code session and select the Publer MCP server.
  • Sign in to Publer if prompted.
  • Approve access to complete the connection.



Claude Code will now be connected to your Publer workspace.


What can you do with Claude and Publer?


Once connected, you can interact with your Publer workspaces.


For example, you can ask Claude to:


  • Create a draft post.
  • Schedule a post for one or multiple social accounts.
  • Check your scheduled posts.
  • View your connected social accounts and analytics.
  • Help you create content before scheduling it.
  • Manage supported Publer content directly from Claude etc.


For example:


Create a LinkedIn post about our latest product update and save it as a draft in Publer.


Or:


Schedule this Instagram post for tomorrow at 10 AM.


Claude will use Publer's MCP tools to carry out the request based on the access available to your account.


Keep in mind


  • Claude can only perform actions supported by Publer's MCP.
  • The same social network requirements and limitations that apply when using Publer directly also apply when using Claude.
  • Keep your Publer API key secure.
  • Always review the account, content, and scheduling details before confirming important publishing actions.
  • You can manage or revoke your API keys at any time from Settings > API & Webhooks.
