How to connect Instagram accounts

You can now connect your Instagram accounts to Publer, with or without requiring a Facebook page login.


To connect Instagram accounts through Facebook:


Note: For the moment only Instagram Creator and Business accounts that have been connected to a Facebook Page are supported. Convert your Instagram account to a Creator/Business one and connect it to a Facebook Page here. Alternatively, you can connect your Facebook Page to your Instagram Creator/Business account by going here.


  • Go to Social Accounts, and click on Connect.


  • You’ll then see two options. Select the one labeled Professional (via Facebook) to proceed.


  • On the next prompt, click Continue.



  • Once you’re redirected back to Publer, connect all the Instagram accounts you want to use and click on Continue.


Warning: If you are not able to see the Instagram account after following the steps as outlined above, please take a look at the article here to try and add the account.


To connect Instagram accounts without using Facebook login:


Note: For the moment only Instagram Creator and Business accounts are supported due to API limitations. You can convert your Instagram account to a Creator or Business account by following the guide here.



  • After that, you’ll see two options. Select the one labeled Professional to proceed.


  • On the next prompt, click Continue.


  • Write the credentials of the Instagram account.


  • You will then be prompted to authorize Publer to access your account.


  • Once you’re redirected back to Publer, connect all the Instagram accounts you want to use and click on Continue.

To connect Instagram accounts through Facebook:

Alternatively, you can connect your Facebook Page to your Instagram Creator/Business account by going here.


  • Go to the Publer icon on the left-side.



  • Go to Accounts **and click on ** + Add new social accounts


  • Click on the Instagram account


  • After that, you’ll see two options. Select the one labeled Professional to proceed.


  • On the next prompt, click Confirm.



  • Then, choose to Continue as ‘Your Name’ and you’ll be redirected back to Publer.
  • Once you’re redirected back to Publer, connect all the Instagram accounts you want to use and click on Continue.


To connect Instagram accounts without using Facebook login:


  • Log in on the application and navigate to the account menu on the upper left icon.
  • Tap on the Add new social accounts.


  • Click on the Instagram icon.


  • After that, you’ll see two options. Select the one labeled Professional to proceed.


  • On the next prompt, click Confirm.


  • Write the credentials of the Instagram account.


  • You will then be prompted to authorize Publer to access your account.
  • Once you’re redirected back to Publer, connect all the Instagram accounts you want to use and click on Continue.
