How to set a default location

DesktopStart

Location tagging is only available for certain post types on Facebook Pages, Instagram Business accounts, and Threads.

If you always add the same location to your posts, you can set it as a default location in social account settings and the location will be automatically selected when creating new posts.

To set a default location to your posts:

Go to the Social Accounts tab and select a Facebook Page, Instagram Business Account, or Threads account.

Type the location name or ID you'd like to use as the default, then choose it from the suggested options.

Note: Facebook and Instagram share the same location ID system, but Threads uses a different one. This means that, unlike Facebook and Instagram, location tagging on Threads only works through searching and manually selecting the location—it doesn’t support tagging by ID.

The location will be automatically selected when creating new posts for this account.
