Their first step was to procure premium mother cultures to start growing varieties rarely cultivated in India. By December 2022, they launched Planet Mushroom, a brand focused exclusively on exotic mushrooms. Today, the farm spans 10 acres and produces 100–200 kg daily, catering to customers across India. From lion’s mane and cordyceps to the rare gucchi mushroom — which they were the first in India to grow commercially — Planet Mushroom has built a strong reputation in the premium mushroom space. Parag Agrawal’s AI startup, Parallel Web Systems, has reached a valuation of $2 billion after raising $100 million in a Series B funding round, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal.
