How to create and use shortcodes
DesktopStart
Shortcodes let you save frequently used text and reuse it whenever you create posts in Publer.
For example, you can save your business contact information, website link, email address, phone number, account mentions, or any other text you use regularly. Instead of typing the same information every time, you can save it once as a Shortcode and quickly insert it into your posts.
You can also use Shortcodes with the built-in Spintax Generator to create variations of bulk content, such as groups of hashtags.
To create a Shortcode:
- Go to the post composer and click the Hashtags icon.

- From the dropdown menu, click Saved.

- A panel will open on the left side of the screen, where you can view and search your existing Shortcodes.
- Choose All shortcodes to view all your Shortcodes or With hashtags to view only Shortcodes that contain hashtags.

- Click New shortcode to create a new one.

- Choose the social account you want to create the Shortcode for.
- Add a clear name so you can easily recognize it later, such as Website, Phone Number, Email, or Contact Info.
- Add the corresponding value, such as publer.com, your phone number, email address, text, or account mention.

- You can also add mentions or tag accounts directly in the Shortcode.
- To edit a Shortcode, click the three dots next to it and select Edit shortcode. You can alternatively Delete it.

- Alternatively, you can create and manage Shortcodes from the Shortcodes tab under Social Accounts.

- Click Create shortcode to add a new one.

- All your Shortcodes will be displayed in a list, where you can easily view and manage them.

Your Shortcode will now be available whenever you create a new post for that social account.
