How to schedule posts/threads to the Threads app

Meta has officially launched their Threads API, and now you can post directly through Publer!

To schedule and post to the Threads app:

  • Click on the Create button on the left side, and the composer box will appear.
  • Select the Threads account where you'd like to share your post, and start creating the first post of your thread. In addition to your caption, you can include a video, link, or up to 10 photos.
  • You can also add alt texts to your posts.

TIP: Follow-up comments can be set to post automatically based on a specific delay or performance. Conditions can be based on Time (Is older than), Reach, and Engagements.

WARNING: Threads and follow-up comments do NOT carry over automatically when reusing posts from saved drafts, scheduled content, or previously published posts. Therefore, you will need to manually add them each time.

TIP : You can also set default follow-up comments or threads for all your posts by following this guide.

Keep in mind:

  • Publer can now gather insights, sync posts, sync info, and sync insights for Threads app.
  • Your main post can include a link, video (up to 5 minutes), or up to 10 photos. Follow-up comments in the thread can include photos and videos. You can also add alt texts to your posts.
  • GIFs are not supported.
  • You can create up to 25 posts per thread, each with a maximum of 500 characters.
  • You can now Auto Share, Auto Delete, and direct commenting on posts from any connected account, except for private account posts which require commenting from the account itself.
  • Some options, like adding a Location, aren't available due to API limitations.
