How to set up a posting schedule
DesktopStart
Everyone who manages multiple social accounts is aware of the benefits of having a strict posting schedule -- it definitely saves a lot of time! It is all about deciding which types of posts will be shared on any days of the week.
Each social account will have its own posting schedule, but if you wish, you can duplicate that posting schedule so that you use it for the other social accounts too.
Once you set up a posting schedule, you don't have to worry about choosing the time for each post individually, all the posts will simply be added to the posting queue on the next available time slot and be posted accordingly, following the predefined settings.
To set up a posting schedule:
- Go to Social Accounts.

- Once you're in the Social Accounts tab, find the social account for which you want to create a new time slot and select it.
- Then, choose the option labeled Posting Schedule.

- You can select to the Create Timeslot a time slot or Autofill the time slots.
- A time slot is a detailed plan for your posts. You can fill all the information i.e on Mondays-Link posts; on Tuesdays-Photo posts; etc.
- Autofill requires only the times and days. Publer will automatically schedule posts according to the times and days you just chose.
To create a time slot:
- Hover over a day and click on the Create Timeslot button.

- Add a time for this slot.
- Decide what type of Post will go out (i.e. Link, Video, Photo etc.)
- Select all the days you want this time slot for.
- Add a label to better locate this time slot.
- Finally, click on Create.

- So, for example, if you want 'Reels' to be shared on workdays at 8:00 AM, the schedule would look like this once set up:

- If you want to Delete a timeslot, you can simply hover over the timeslot and click on the x button to delete them one by one.
- Alternatively, you can also click on the Delete bin button at the top right corner to delete all of the timeslots.
Alternatively, to use Autofill:
- Select Autofill on the top right corner.

- Specify a time-range (which might be the working time of everyone, say 8 AM - 9 PM).
- Choose the days when you want to post on the time-range above.
- Select the number of posts you want to be shared on the days and time range selected.

- Finally, click on Generate.

- Once you have created the time slots using Autofill, you can choose to delete some of them or even add labels individually.
- To delete, simply hover the mouse over a time slot and click on the little x icon.

Keep in mind:
- You can use time slots for AutoScheduling and also Recycling posts.
- You can create multiple time slots and assign different types of posts and labels on each of them.
- You will be notified if you are scheduling a post over another one, because posts of the same social accounts should have a difference of at least 1 minute.
- You can create different time slots for each social account you have on Publer.
- For social accounts like Facebook Group, Facebook Personal Profile, and Threads, which only support scheduling posts via push notifications, you'll need to manually post on Publer, as this is the only method it supports. Therefore, creating a posting schedule isn't an option for these platforms.
- If you get a "No time slots found" message, it could be because you have specified post types for your time slots that do not match to the current post type.
