How I plan to turn these 2 checks into $6,000,000!!! These are copies of our 401k distribution rollover checks that we received a little over 2 months ago. My wife and I contributed a combined total of $300,593.66 into our 401k accounts (100% S&P 500 Index Fund) over a 7 year period, and maxed out our 401ks over the last 5 years (2021-2025). The combined account value (sum of both checks) is $500,269.52 which equates to about a 10% annualized return over 7 years. Last month, we deposited these checks into a Vanguard Traditional IRA (Rollover) and we “Will Not Contribute Anymore Money” into these accounts and the funds are 100% invested into VOO (S&P 500 etf Index Fund). In 15 years, which is the age we can take distributions without being penalized, these 2 checks will grow into a combined balance of $2,242,000 (10% average annualized return). At this age, we can withdraw a combined $100,000 (4.5% withdrawal rate) from these accounts each year “Forever” and in 20 years the $2,242,000 will grow to around $6,000,000. #investing #indexfunds #generationalwealth #vanguard
