Instagram DMs Get New Stickers, Location Sharing, and More!
|

Instagram is rolling out a bunch of
new features this season for all of us DM sliders to make DM conversations more interactive and engaging.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
Fun and Funky Stickers: Express yourself with a variety of new stickers to add some pizazz to your DMs. There are 17 new sticker packs and over 300 new stickers to share in your DMs.
Share Your Location (Discreetly): Now you can easily and safely share your live location directly within DMs. Only those in the specific chat can see your location and your location can’t be forwarded to other chats. This is a convenient way to meet up with friends or share interesting places you’ve discovered, while also staying safe.
Give Your Friends Nicknames: With the new update, you can now give a nickname to yourself or your friends. Nicknames only appear in your DM chats, and won’t change your username anywhere else on IG.
Instagram is also currently testing a new placement for the DM button. The button might move from its current spot in profiles to a more prominent location within the main app interface.
