One of Facebook Page’s most unique features is the ability to tag influencers you collaborate with or business partners in branded content posts.
After weeks of testing with our Enterprise customers, we’re very excited to finally introduce these Facebook-specific capabilities to all Publer users!
Understanding Facebook Collaborative and Branded Content
- Collaborative posts on Facebook allow multiple parties to share the spotlight. Whether youβre partnering with another business, influencer, or creator, these posts let you jointly reach audiences, combining your creative forces and boosting engagement.
- Branded content posts are designed for paid partnerships where a brand collaborates with a creator or influencer. Facebookβs branded content tool ensures transparency by clearly labeling posts that involve sponsorships, fostering trust with your audience while complying with advertising regulations.
How to Schedule Facebook Collaborative Posts
Prerequisites and limitations:
- Collaborators can only be tagged when posting on a Facebook Page.
- You can only tag one other Facebook Page as a collaborator.
- Collaborators can only be tagged in videos, including reels.
- Currently, this feature is available only on the web version of Publer.
How to schedule Facebook collaborative posts with Publer:
Once you’ve connected your Facebook Page, select it, upload a video, and click “Tag Collaborators”, as shown below.

Remember that if you’re crossposting to multiple social networks at once, you need to customize your post first for this option to appear.
In the next step, search for and select the Facebook Page you want to tag. If the collaborator does not show up, you can search by Facebook Page ID.

Once you click Save, you will see how your post will look on Facebook, assuming the collaborator will accept your invitation.

Once the video or reel is published, the collaborator will receive a notification on Facebook. Alternatively, you can always send them the invitation link from Publer.

You can learn more about this new feature in this step-by-step guide.

Best Practices for Scheduling Your Collab and Branded Posts
- Plan Ahead:
Create a content calendar that outlines your collaborative and branded posts well in advance. Factor in key dates, product launches, or special events to ensure your posts are timely and relevant. - Coordinate with Partners:
When working with collaborators or influencers, align your posting schedules and messaging. Use shared calendars or collaborative tools to stay on the same page and ensure that your content is cohesive and mutually beneficial. - Follow Facebook Guidelines:
Be sure to review Facebookβs policies on branded content and collaborations. Clear labeling of paid partnerships and proper disclosure can help you avoid compliance issues and maintain audience trust. - Test and Optimize:
Use analytics to gauge the performance of your posts. Experiment with different posting times and formats to see what resonates best with your audience, and adjust your scheduling strategy accordingly. - Stay Flexible:
While scheduling offers predictability, the social media landscape is ever-changing. Be prepared to pivot your strategy if you notice trending topics or your audienceβs behavior shifts unexpectedly.
